When golf courses can’t open on Sunday, schools can reopen for spring 2018
The National Golf Club of Orange County announced Wednesday that it has reopened its Bonneville Golf Course, after a temporary lockdown.
The school was closed for more than two weeks last year due to a deadly tornado.
The golf course is open to the public for the spring semester, though the park service will continue to enforce a no golf on campus policy.
The golf course opened in late 2016.
“As a result of the storm and the temporary lockdown, we have had to reopen Bonne.
It will remain open for the rest of the spring,” a statement from the Orange County School District said.
The district will work with the Orange Coast Golf Course in Fort Myers, Fla., which was closed last month due to the tornado.
A tornado warning remained in effect through Wednesday evening.
